Blood Flow
Blackcurrant Anthocyanins have been shown through pre-clinical and clinical trials to activley boost blood circulation. This is the result of Nitric Oxide mediated vasorelaxation, whereby the blood vessels become more relaxed resulting in an increase to blood flow. Benefits of this include improved delivery of nutrition and oxygen throughout the body, assiting with blood pressure and cardiovascular health plus, slowing lactate build up during excercise (which can allow athletes to excercise for longer and recover faster).

Additionally, Blackcurrant anthocyanins have been shown to help regulate healthy cholesterol levels (reducing dangerous LDL-cholesterol and increasing HDL-cholesterol). In doing so, blackcurrant anthocyanins can help prevent plaque build up which can otherwise lead to atherosclerosis and heart disease.
